Consultations are available by phone or video call, at a time that suits you. If none of the available slots work, just send me a message and we'll find a time.

Once you've booked, you'll receive an automatic confirmation email with your appointment details and Zoom link, plus a reminder closer to the time. If anything comes up and you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know as soon as you can, so I can offer the time to someone else.

As these consultations are offered free of charge, I'd really appreciate a little notice if your plans change — thank you for understanding.

Common questions

Do I need to have already taken a DNA test?

Not necessarily — get in touch first and I'll advise you on the best test to take and where to get it.

What if I'm not sure whether you can help me?

That's exactly what the free consultation is for. There's no obligation, and if I don't think I can help you I'll tell you honestly.

Do you work with clients outside Northern Ireland?

Yes — I work with clients across the UK, Ireland, and internationally. DNA research is carried out remotely so location is no barrier.

How much will it cost?

The initial consultation is always free. For most cases, my ongoing research is offered on a donation basis — there's no set fee, and you're welcome to contribute whatever feels right for the help you've received.

Occasionally a case turns out to need much more advanced or extensive research. If that happens, I'll always discuss it with you first and provide a clear written quote before any paid work begins — you'll never be charged without agreeing to it in advance.
